NOTE:    This is a new, and important, Florida state regulation!

The Boating Safety Education Requirements have changed.  Effective January 1, 2010, in the state of Florida, boat operators who were born on or after January 1, 1988 must pass an approved boater safety course and have in his/her possession photographic identification and a boating safety education identification card issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in order to operate any motorboat of ten (10) horsepower or more.
