Welcome Aboard Shipmate

Mike
Hockaday, Flotilla Commander
Welcome Aboard, Shipmates, Guests and Perspective
Members!
This is the 37th year that the Palm
Coast area is being served by the volunteers of the Coast Guard
Auxiliary. Our dedicated Auxiliarists offer classroom instruction in
boating safety, navigation and the marvels of GPS. We provide Safety
Patrols on the Intracoastal Waterway, the St. Johns River and even in
the air. The men and women of our Flotilla 41 and over 30,000 other
Coast Guard Auxiliary member volunteers work tirelessly to help the
recreational boating public to safely enjoy the waters from the U.S.
Virgin Islands all the way to Hawaii and everywhere in between. Perhaps
you would care to join us in our quest keep our waterways and friends
safe and secure.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is the civilian,
uniformed volunteer component of the United States Coast Guard, as well
as the lead volunteer force in the Department of Homeland Security.
Founded in 1939 by an Act of Congress as the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves
and re-designated the Auxiliary in 1941. The 35,000 volunteer members
(men and women) donate thousands of hours in support of Coast Guard
missions, such as Search & Rescue, Public Education, Marine
Environmental Protection and Maritime Domain Awareness.
